Our client is a leading force in the cryptocurrency news media space, with a monthly readership exceeding 3 million and 25 million monthly impressions. They are renowned for their comprehensive, timely, and engaging content tailored to a global audience invested in cryptocurrency markets.
Role
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to spearhead our client's sales strategies and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital media sales and a proven track record in developing and executing effective sales strategies in the technology or financial sectors, preferably with familiarity in cryptocurrency markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share.
- Lead and expand the sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster key relationships with advertisers, sponsors, and other business partners to secure new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to create compelling advertising packages tailored to client needs.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and account management processes to ensure targets are met and client satisfaction is maintained.
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts and reports, presenting these to senior management regularly.
- Manage and optimize budgets related to sales activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Represent the company at industry events and in negotiations to maximize business opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within digital media, technology, or financial services industries.
- Extensive knowledge of the crypto & blockchain industry
- Demonstrable success in developing sales strategies and leading a high-performing sales team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn insights into actionable sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, including programmatic sales and SEO.
- High degree of professionalism and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Enthusiasm for the cryptocurrency industry and its community.
